• Appearance & Size: Slender, elongated pods usually 1.5–4 inches long and about 0.5 inches wide, with smooth, glossy, firm skin; starting medium to dark green and ripening to bright red (sometimes orange or yellow in select varieties), often with a pointed or slightly blunt tip.
